This is Part 3 of a 3-part series on what it’s like to work with Redhead Creative Media. Read Part 1: Before Your Session | Read Part 2: Your Session Day
The session is complete.
You’ve been guided, photographed, maybe even interviewed.
Everything we discussed during the design consultation has been brought to life in the studio, and it’s ready for your review.
So many photographers send clients online galleries to sort through alone, weeks later, when the excitement has faded. With no way to ask questions in real time.
Redhead Creative Media does it differently.
The Immediate Image Reveal
The image reveal happens right after we finish creating your content in the studio.
Not days later. Not through a link sent to your inbox at midnight when you’re too tired to process anything.
Immediately after.
Here’s How It Works:
Everything we captured is loaded onto a laptop and projected onto a screen.
We review it together, in person, in real time.
You see everything we’ve created together:
- The amazing imagery
- The mistakes (misfires, test shots, the awkward in-between moments)
- The motion clips
- The interview footage (if applicable)
There’s no online gallery to sort through alone.
You choose what resonates with you. Only the imagery and film that you absolutely love.
And you can ask questions immediately:
- “Can we merge the expression from this image with the pose from that one?”
- “Is this one sharp enough for large-scale printing?”
- “Which of these two works better for my website hero image?”
The studio can help you make decisions, but we can’t make that decision for you. Because you’re looking at this work from a completely different perspective than a photographer’s technical eye.
You’re choosing the imagery and film that speak to you.
When the Reveal Happens Virtually
If the session runs long (sometimes conversations get deep and time disappears), or if we’re both drained and need a break, the reveal can happen virtually within 2-3 business days of the session.
Same process. Same collaborative approach. Just on a screen share instead of in the studio.
You’re also welcome to come back to the studio for an in-person review if you prefer.
The timeline stays the same: within 2-3 business days of the session.
The Retouching Phase
Once you’ve selected your imagery and film, everything moves into the retouching phase. How this looks depends on which experience you chose.
Brand Experience & Portrait Experience
Commercial-grade professional retouching focused on:
- Natural, intentional editing
- Preserving expression and presence
- Showing you as you are, without heavy manipulation
This is not body shaping, skin smoothing, or making you look like someone else.
It’s honest retouching that honors who you are while creating polished, professional imagery.
Brand Experience clients also receive a customized marketing guide showing how to use your imagery strategically across platforms, plus guidance on platform-specific usage.
Raw Portrait Experience (Such as Come As You Are & The Postpartum Project)
Minimal retouching only:
- Background cleanup
- Tonal range adjustments
- No skin, hair, or clothing retouching
This is intentionally unretouched to preserve the raw, honest nature of the experience. The goal is documentation, not perfection.
Portrait Interview Experience
The retouching approach depends on which session type you chose:
- Brand or Portrait Interview = commercial-grade retouching
- Raw documentary interview = minimal retouching only
All interview experiences include:
- Complimentary audio files of your interview
- Option to add a signature documentary film (additional investment)
Your words belong to you. The audio is yours to keep, regardless of whether you choose to create a film.
Delivery: What You Actually Receive
All files are delivered via Dropbox.
What you receive depends on your session type.
Brand Clients Receive (per image):
- High-resolution files
- Web-optimized files
- Square crops
- Alpha channel PNGs (transparent background versions, where applicable)
Alpha channel PNGs save your graphic designer a step, as they’re ready to layer over backgrounds for marketing materials.
Portrait Clients Receive:
A complimentary digital file matched to the size of each purchased print.
Purchase a 5×7″ print and receive a 5×7″ digital file
Purchase a 20×30″ wall piece and receive a 20×30″ digital file
This ensures your digital files are sized intentionally for their purpose, not dumped into a folder where they’ll be forgotten.
Motion Clips (All Clients):
Delivered in 4K format (or alternative format if requested), available in vertical or horizontal orientation based on how you’ll use them.
The Review Process
Once your initial files are delivered, you have 48 hours to review everything.
One round of revisions is included with your imagery. This covers adjustments like:
- Additional retouching requests
- Minor edits or refinements
Once you approve the final files, you either use them as digital-only assets or, if you purchased printed artwork, the studio sends them to print.
Timeline Expectations
Digital delivery:
Initial files: 2-4 weeks after session
Revisions (if needed): Additional 1-2 weeks
Printed artwork:
4-6 weeks after final approval
All printed products are heirloom-quality, ordered from a family-run print shop in Italy. Your printed artwork is crafted from museum-quality materials designed to last decades.
These timelines account for the care and craftsmanship that go into each piece. This is preservation work, not a race to ship.
What Makes This Process Different
No forgotten galleries.
You’re not handed a massive folder of images to sort through alone while life happens around you.
Documentary editorial imagery rooted in who you are.
Not who you think you should be. Not a performed version. You.
Heirloom-quality printed products.
Museum-quality prints and wall art designed to outlast trends and be passed down through generations.
Preservation work, not transactions.
This is about creating visual legacy. Not just delivering files.
