Do I need to know exactly what I want before booking a curiosity call?

No.

The curiosity call exists because most people don’t yet have clarity. We’ll talk through what you’re building or documenting, what matters most to you right now, and which experience is the right fit.

You don’t need a plan. You just need curiosity.

What if I’m not comfortable on camera?

This is one of the most common things I hear, and one of the things I’m most equipped to work with.

You don’t need to know how to pose. You don’t need to be confident. You don’t need to perform.

I guide you through everything during brand photography, portrait photography, and portrait interview experiences so the process feels calm and natural. Comfort on camera comes from good direction and trust, not personality type.

Most clients are surprised by how grounded the experience feels.

Do you work with brands, individuals, or both?

Both.

I work with founders and thought leaders on documentary-driven brand photography and film, and with individuals on portrait and portrait interview experiences.

The common thread isn’t the type of client. It’s intention.

What’s the difference between a portrait experience and a portrait interview experience?

A portrait experience focuses on still imagery – documentary-style, black-and-white portraits guided by conversation and presence.

A portrait interview experience includes everything from the portrait session, plus a filmed interview and documentary b-roll. It captures not just how you look, but how you speak, move, and tell your story in your own words.

Both are rooted in documentary photography. The portrait interview experience adds voice, movement, and narrative depth.

Do you offer film for brand clients?

Yes.

Film can be integrated into brand experiences through recorded interviews, documentary b-roll, and short-form clips designed to work alongside still imagery.

Not every brand needs film. That’s something we’ll talk through during the curiosity call – so the final experience supports your goals, not a trend.

How does pricing work?

Experiences begin at $1,500, with the final investment varying based on scope, the type of imagery or film involved, and how the work will be used.

Rather than one-size-fits-all packages, each experience is customized. During the curiosity call, we’ll walk through pricing transparently so you can decide with clarity before moving forward.

Do you offer digital files?

Yes.

Brand clients receive digital files formatted for professional use across platforms.

Portrait clients receive digital files sized to match the printed artwork they purchase – ensuring the images are preserved intentionally, not lost in a folder.

Will my images be retouched?

Yes – and the philosophy matters here.

All imagery receives professional retouching appropriate to the experience. The goal is enhancement, not erasure. I preserve expression, character, and the features that make someone recognizable – not smooth them out.

The person in the final image should be the person who walked into the studio: more present, more powerful, but unmistakably themselves.

Raw portrait experiences (including The Postpartum Project) receive minimal adjustments for tone and background consistency, without skin or hair retouching.

Will I receive all the images from the session?

No, and that’s intentional.

You won’t be handed a massive gallery to sort through alone. We review everything together and curate the final selection based on quality, impact, and how you want to use the work.

The goal isn’t volume. It’s relevance.

Do you work with teams?

Yes.

Team and leadership imagery is available on a custom basis, depending on the scope and goals of the project. We’ll talk through details during the curiosity call.

Do you work on location?

Yes, when it supports the story and the work.

Location sessions are available for an additional fee and may require permits depending on the location.

We’ll evaluate together whether it makes sense for your goals.

Is this a good fit if I just need a quick headshot?

Probably not.

If you’re looking for something fast and transactional, there are great photographers who specialize in exactly that.

My work is for people who want a thoughtful, guided experience, and imagery that reflects who they are and where they’re headed.
